Advanced Armor Systems for Vehicles and Personnel
The company provides armor solutions and force protection technologies for individuals and tactical and commercial vehicles. I3 worked with the Rapid Equipping Force (REF) to determine an armor solution that could effectively defeat Explosively Formed Penetrators (EFPs) and provide safe mobility for warfighters. I3 developed The BullTM advanced technology armored solution, with 6-man and 10-man variants of the MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush-Protected) II vehicle, which provides that crucial protection.
In 2007, I3 along with partners Ceradyne, Inc. and Oshkosh Truck Corporation, was awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract by the government to supply BullTM MRAP vehicles to the U.S. Marine Corps Joint MRAP program office.
